Four Questions For Stopping Depression
- By : Jessica W
Imagine your best friend betrayed you, your career suddenly takes a turn for the worst, and you turn to your friends, who ignore your pleas for help. Do you feel awful and frustrated? Do you feel like the world’s most unfortunate person? If you come to hard times, you might want to consider asking yourself these four question. They will help guide you out of your misery and depression.
The first question to ask yourself is: Is it really as big of a deal as I am making it?
Doubting is a very big mistake that many people make in their lives. Problems that may have been small can be made bigger by doubting, and indecisiveness. These are major events that can destroy a person’s happy lifestyle.
Second question: Could there be someone out there facing a more unfortunate situation?
When you are in a bad mood, your emotions can become negative, and violent. You feel as if you are the most unlucky person in the world, and no one can top your situations. If this happens, calm down and ask yourself this question, and the answer should be self-evident. This not only helps us see a lot of happiness in our lives that we take for granted, it also helps us get out of that self-centered thinking mode.
Third question: Can I find hidden opportunities for change in embarrassment?
No matter how bad things are, you can still find places where you can learn and improve so that you don’t do the same thing again next time. Asking yourself such a question can improve keen analytical ability, and it also can be used to change your actions, turn things around, and make them better.
Fourth and final question: Can you accept your current feelings?
If you are in a position that can’t solve the problem at hand, the best way is to change yourself. Ask yourself what your current emotions are, and try to accept the reality so the bad feelings are released be your own question and answer. It’s better to accept bravery than to let the dark things become permanent “devils” in your heart. Mastering your emotions is a tough thing to do, but if you face it calmly, it can turn out to be a beautiful thing.
